Mr. Saulat Hussain

Saulat Hussain is a seasoned HR professional with three decades of Human Resource Management experience including fifteen years as Head of HR Group of Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited – the largest fertilizer company in Pakistan. A commissioned officer of Pakistan Army with multiple training courses from world-renowned institutions like Harvard Business School USA, Australian Management College, Ross Business School University of Michigan, Foster School of the Business University of Washington and Harvard Kennedy School Boston, he has developed a lifelong passion for HR Management. Mr. Hussain also holds diplomas in ‘Leadership’ and ‘Management Development’ from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor.

His contribution towards Fauji Fertilizer Company can be gauged from ever-rising production and profitability transforming FFC as a blue-chip company which is a testimony of its outstanding human resource policies. He accomplished the HR department of FFC plant site certified under ISO 9002 and he also handled trouble-free negotiations with trade unions.

After Fauji Fertilizer Limited, he started working as independent consultants and is associated with APEX Consulting Pakistan and Grant Thornton Pakistan where he headed various HR assignments – notable amongst was the Restructuring of Board of Investment (BOI) Pakistan where he also contributed towards the FDI Strategy of Pakistan and Investment Policy of Pakistan in addition to the Special Economic Zone Operationalization Framework of Pakistan – the backbone of China Pakistan Economic Corridor – CPEC.

He is also a faculty member of Bahria University where he guides MBA HR students with real-life actual corporate case studies.
