Mr. Anwar Ul Haq is a distinguished power sector finance and possesses over 30 years’ rich experience. He has held sever strategic positions in the Water & Power Development Authority of Pakistan (WAPDA) including the most prestigious position of Member Finance. He has the honor to have remained Board Member of KAPCO, FCIB, LCDC, LPGCL, NJHPC, NPGCL, PESCO, TESCO where he remained Director for three terms of 3 years each in addition to the Company Secretary of JPCL, LPGCL, NJHPC, WFSC, WSSC & WTSC.
He has the honor to arrange domestic and international finance for the 2,160 MW Dasu Hydropower project and 969 MW Neelum Jehlum Hydropower projects. He has the privilege to undertake the appraisal, review and Case study on Power sector Reforms in India on the behest of WAPDA – Pakistan. He also headed the Generation License and filing periodic Tariff Petitions of 25 Hydropower projects of 8,600 MW aggregate generation capacity in addition to preparing the application for Generation License and filing Tariff Petition of three power plants of 1,204 MW aggregate generation capacity and Preparing application for Generation License and filing Tariff Petition 150 MW coal-fired power plant
He is now an independent consultant and has accomplished various assignments related to project financing, due-diligences, risk management, corporate governance, tariff petitions, negotiations, valuations/re-valuations, in the mainly in power sector. His recent assignments include consultancy Services for Preparation and Approval of EPC stage Tariff Petition and Preparation of Financial Model for 969 MW Neelum Jehlum Hydel Power Plant, advisory services for preparing applications of grant of Generation License and tariff for 2.45 MW Hydel Power plant at Kasur and Preparation of Fixed Assets Register and Physical Verification of Fixed Assets of Neelum Jhelum Hydropower plant located in the District of Muzaffarabad (AJ&K).
By qualification, he is a Fellow Member of Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan (FCMA) and Certified Director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).
